We provide essential service for the performance of CBCs with peripheral blood film examination, ESR, blood group etc.We provide a 24 hour X 365 days essential service for the performance of urine analysis, CSF examination, body fluids examination, stool examination, semen examination etc. We have facility for multi color analysis by expert team for diagnosis and monitoring of various leukemias and lymphomas including hairy cell leukemia and plasma cell dyscrasia. We also perform tests for immunodeficiency status (B cell, T cell – helper cell, cytotoxic cell, NK cell), Stem cell (CD34) count by ISHAGE protocol, PNH (by using FLARE, CD55, CD59 antibodies), HLA B27 analysis (by using HLA B7, HLAB27, CD45 antibodies), CD4-CD8 analysis (by using CD4, CD8, CD45, CD3 analysis).
The Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory provides an extensive range of testing services to all medical centerdepartments and clinics, other hospitals, HMOs, individuals, and research institutions. The lab also provides testing for research laboratories and skilled researchers at the Medical Center. The lab also develops and perfects unique laboratory testing methods. The laboratory performs a wide variety of different biochemical tests in whole blood, serum/ plasma and other bio fluids by the use of a wide range of equipment, from the simple most basic to automated, modern and sophisticated systems.Lab results are controlled by internal and external quality control programs.
Immunology is the study of the body's immune system and its functions and disorders. The assessment of immunodeficiency disease involves a combination of laboratory methods to assess cellular (cell type distribution and function) and humoral immunoglobulin, complement) components of the immune system.IHC is used for disease diagnosis, drug development and biological research. Using specific tumor markers, physicians use IHC to diagnose a cancer as benign or malignant, determine the stage and grade of a tumor, and identify the cell type and origin of a metastasis to find the site of the primary tumor. IHC is also used in drug development to test drug efficacy by detecting either the activity or the up- or down-regulation of disease targets.
Serology is a blood test to detect the presence of antibodies against a microorganism. Such antibodies are typically formed in response to an infection (against a given microorganism), against other foreign proteins (in response, for example, to a mismatched blood transfusion), or to one's own proteins (in instances of autoimmune disease).Serological tests may be performed for diagnostic purposes when an infection is suspected, in rheumatic illnesses, and in many other situations, such as checking an individual's blood type. Serology blood tests help to diagnose patients with certain immune deficiencies associated with the lack of antibodies, such as X-linked agammaglobulinemia. In such cases, tests for antibodies will be consistently negative.
Clinical pathology supports the diagnosis of disease using laboratory testing of blood and other bodily fluids, tissues, and microscopic evaluation of individual cells. Our board-certified veterinary clinical pathologists and technologists provide laboratory results in a timely, efficient and thoughtful manner; supporting research, clinicians, referring veterinarians, and students in the diagnosis and treatment of many animal species.
The Cytology Laboratory offers testing of gynecological, non-gynecological and fine needle aspiration specimens in determining normal and disease-altered cells from the various body sites. Cytodiagnostic methods provide a rapid, inexpensive, simple means of diagnosis that can supplement or replace a frozen section or a biopsy. No tissue injury is produced, allowing frequent repetitive cellular sampling, which is important in the evaluation of the progression or post-treatment regression of a lesion.
